Already part of the music industry’s most successful rock bands, Bono is about to become even wealthier, thanks to an investment he made in Facebook in 2009.

Bono is set to make approximately $1 billion because in 2009 his investment company, Elevation Partners, purchases $210 million worth of shares in Facebook, and now that Facebook is going public, those shares are no valued at an incredible $975 million. Last week Facebook declared that it will be going public and the site was valued at $65 billion.

Bono’s group, U2, is already one of the top earning groups in the world, reportedly bringing in around $736 million on their recent ‘360 Tour’ alone.
