Rony Seikaly
Category: Entrepreneurs
Company: Quadrant Investment Group
Industry: Real Estate
What Made Him Haute: Thanks to an illustrious career playing in the NBA for the Miami Heat, as well as successful real estate ventures, Seikaly is a leading figure in the city. Early in his career with the Heat, he made waves by breaking several team records, amassing incredible career statistics, and earning the title The Spin Doctor. The name has a double meaning; Seikaly is also a deejay with a penchant for house music. He’s played some of the hautest clubs and lounges in the world, including Miami Beach’s LIV. Since its inception in 2005, Quadrant Investment Group, of which Seikaly is CEO, has created and managed three separate funds with $128 million in investor equity and $350 million in real estate. Seikaly is personally invested in each of those funds.
What Makes Him Haute Now: Rony Seikaly just sold his North Bay Road mansion for $11.5 million to MCL Real Estate, managed by Raul M. Claure. The mansion has nine bedrooms and ten bathrooms and sits on 0.6 acres of prime Miami Beach real estate. The $11.5 million is not what Seikaly had originally asked for the home but it’s a lot more than the $2.15 million that he paid for the lot in 2005. Seikaly never officially listed the home for sale but he was privately showing it to prospective buyers for the past six months. Even though he did give up his mansion on Miami Beach don’t worry he isn’t leaving. Seikaly has had at least three Miami Beach residences during his residence in Miami and he has already acquired a four-bedroom condo in the Murano Grande tower.
