Dior Opens Fourth Boutique at Crystals at CityCenter

News | July 21, 2010

When Christian Dior launched his first collection in 1947, Paris had fallen out of favor in fashion circles. But Dior went against the post-World War II fabric restrictions and used 20 yards of frothy fabrics to create his collection, 90 models presented on six mannequins. He stitched together a signature look with a below-mid-calf length, full-skirt, large bust and small waist. Harper’s Bazaar declared it the New Look. A fashion house was born.

Fast forward to now, and the company has just opened its fourth Las Vegas boutique at Crystals at CityCenter. The 5,200-square-foot boutique is similar to the company’s flagship store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. On the outside, floor-to-ceiling backlit glass emits the signature cannage pattern. On the women’s side, expect to find designer John Galliano’s creations favored by Nicole Kidman and Demi Moore. The men’s side reflects the midnight blacks and bright whites that denote the creations of Hedi Slimane donned by Brad Pitt and Mick Jagger.

You can find Dior’s complete line of women’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories, as well as Dior Homme, and men’s and women’s watches.

The boutique is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. For more information, call 702.597.0941 or visit www.dior.com.
