Village of Merrick Park Features a Host of Summer Events
Father’s Day is coming up, so you know a gift is due for dear old dad. If you don’t want to get the big guy that hackneyed tie this year, you don’t have to. On Tuesday, June 8, 2010, the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables will have its “Just Ask Boo” Father’s Day Event from 6 to 9 p.m. Why not take dad out for a day of fun? The upscale event will feature cocktails and nibbles, and really, what could be a better Father’s Day gift than food and drinks? Oh, well maybe add in some of the top names in luxury labels, and it sounds like an evening of fun for the whole fam. Merrick Park’s famous village features all of the top notch fashion designers like Donald J Pliner, Blumarine, Cartier, Tiffany, Carlos Miele, DVF, Jimmy Choo, Carolina Herrera, Longchamp, Burberry, Silvia Tcherassi, Furla, and of course all the offerings from Neiman Marcus. With stores like these you’ll never have to refuse that affinity for looking and feeling the best.
You can also enter to win luxury items at the event in the raffle that will take place. Items will be from participating retailers such as Canali, Elemis Spa, Emilio Robba, EQUINOX, Furla, Lacoste, Tiffany & Co., Yard House, and more. You can register for tickets in advance by visiting the Village of Merrick Park website.
Dogs need loving too, and they also need to look good, so VMP is sending a call out to all dog lovers. The luxe shopping village will host its Doggy Days of Summer Event series kicking off on July 11, 2010, with a Pooch-A-Palooza of doggy centric action including a dog parade in The Garden at 3 p.m. The series will continue on Sunday July 18 and 25 from 2 to 6 p.m. Every Sunday dog owners are invited to have their furry friends pose for purchasable framed photos. For four hours you can admire man’s best friends and scurry around a bit to shop all you want. There are many dog-friendly restaurants with outdoor seating like Yard House, Villagio, and Via Quadronno to name a few, for you and your little loved one to enjoy. What more can you ask?
