Country artist Jimmie Allen has reached a resolution in a sexual assault lawsuit brought against him by one of his former managers last June. The accuser, known as Jane Doe, has dropped Allen from the lawsuit as part of a settlement agreement.

In a statement provided to various media outlets including Variety, attorneys representing the woman confirmed that they have filed paperwork to dismiss Allen from the claims in the lawsuit. However, they clarified that the lawsuit against Allen’s former management firm, Williams Bowers Management d/b/a Wide Open Music, and one of its principals, Ash Bowers, is still ongoing.

The lawsuit, which has now been settled, alleged rape, sexual assault, and harassment by Allen against his former day-to-day manager. She claimed she was manipulated into an abusive sexual relationship with Allen, which began during a business trip in March 2021. Despite the settlement, the woman continues to pursue her claims against Allen’s former management firm.

Allen denied all allegations, stating that the relationship was consensual. He emphasized that the accuser never accused him of wrongdoing during their time together. Nevertheless, he faced professional repercussions following the allegations, including being dropped by his label, management, agency, and publicist, as well as being removed from various industry events and projects.

Since the lawsuits emerged, Allen has diversified his musical pursuits, exploring styles beyond country music. Despite projecting confidence on social media, he recently shared a more vulnerable side through a new song performed on Instagram.

As of now, Allen does not have any scheduled tour dates, and his online presence indicates forthcoming updates.
