Soulja Boy Sued By Ex For Alleged Abuse That Caused Her Miscarriage

Soulja Boy’s anonymous ex-girlfriend is suing the 30-year-old rapper for sexual battery and domestic abuse with claims that his behavior led her to miscarry.

Using the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” the woman filed a lawsuit Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming Soulja Boy (born DeAndre Cortez Way) attacked her so violently in 2015 that it resulted in her miscarriage and a subsequent procedure to remove her uterine lining. According to court papers obtained by Page Six, the two’s intermittent, tumultuous relationship spanned from 2007 to 2009 before she could “no longer stand the abuse.”

According to the complaint, Soulja Boy allegedly “began to physically attack and yell at her” while filming a reality TV series in August 2018, but the alleged attack aired during an episode on the WE tv network in early 2019 after night vision cameras captured the incident.

The lawsuit claimed that by 2019, Doe moved out of the home she shared with Soulja Boy after he allegedly had her daughter physically removed. When she declined his plea to move back into the home, Soulja Boy allegedly “gripped [Doe’s] neck and choked her while threatening her life.” In addition to these claims, Doe alleged that the rapper turned to physical assault when she declined his sexual advances.

Consequently, the suit against Soulja Boy has filed claims for domestic violence, negligence, sexual battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and gender violence.

This isn’t the first time Soulja Boy has dealt with similar legal issues.

Earlier this year, the rapper’s former assistant filed a lawsuit that accused Soulja Boy of not only repeated assault and sexual battery, but also refusing to pay her and holding her against her will. However, one of his representatives denied such claims in a statement to TMZ back then: “Soulja would never put his hands on a female. He wouldn’t beat a woman or put his hands on a woman… This is non-sense!!!”
