Chyna’s defamation and economic interference lawsuit against the famous family is over the cancellation of her reality series with Rob Kardashian, “Rob & Chyna.”
Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, reported that the model is “thrilled” about the moved-up trial date.
In October 2017, Chyna filed a lawsuit against the Kardashian-Jenner family. Chyna had an E! reality series, “Rob & Chyna,” with her then-fiancé Rob Kardashian. Over the cancellation of the reality show, Chyna alleged assault, domestic violence, defamation, battery, and interference with prospective economic relations.
Chyna claimed the reality series was canceled due to her split from Rob Kardashian. Attorney Marty Singer representing the Kardashians denied her claims. Chyna presented defamation and economic interference claims against Kris, Kim, Khloé, and Kylie to three appellate judges. The judges ruled that Chyna had given “substantial evidence” against the Kardashian-Jenner’s.
“The evidence in our case overwhelmingly establishes that the claims filed by Blac Chyna are without merit, and we look forward to a jury trial to dispose of these meritless claims,” Singer reported to Page Six.
The trial is set to proceed over ten days. Chyna, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Rob Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest, NBCUniversal Executive Francis Berwick, WME agent Lance Klein, attorney Walter Mosley, Bunim-Murray executives, and additional NBCUniversal and E! officials are requested to take the stand at trial. With both parties open to mediation, a mediation status hearing for Chyna and the Kardashians is scheduled for July 26, 2021.
Singer requested access to Chyna’s OnlyFans content to which she refused.
There is no further comment at this time from both parties.
