Is FaceTite The Go-To Treatment For Summer Facial Rejuvenation?

Photo Credit: Courtesy of ShutterstockAre your facial concerns holding you back from fully enjoying the summer season? Whether you're dealing with mild to moderate laxity in your face, jawline, or neck, you don't have to wait until summer is over to address them. Introducing FaceTite, the ultimate solution for face and neck rejuvenation. This groundbreaking option is designed to deliver remarkable tightening and toning results, all without the drawbacks of long incisions and extensive downtime that are typically associated with traditional face and neck lift procedures. With FaceTite, you can confidently tackle your concerns and embrace the summer season with a refreshed and revitalized appearance. To learn more about this approach, let's take a deep dive into the procedure of the summer.

How is FaceTite performed?

The procedure is comfortably performed using local anesthesia, which is less uncomfortable than a visit to the dentist. Small entry points of 2-3 mm are made behind each earlobe and in the crease behind the chin. Numbing medicine is applied to the treatment area. Using a thin wand, the FaceTite device delivers radiofrequency energy from outside the skin, heating the targeted area and stimulating collagen and elastin production for tissue tightening. Take a look at the step-by-step process walkthrough below:

Why is FaceTite appealing as a summer treatment?

One of the great things about FaceTite is how minimally invasive it is. There are no extensive incisions to heal, so there are no real issues with discomfort in the warmer summer months. Procedures such as a facelift or neck lift with longer scars can make enjoying the summer more challenging, as exposing scars to the sun can deepen their pigmentation. With FaceTite, the incisions are so small and well-hidden that this isn’t much of an issue. Additionally, there’s no need for a pashmina to hide the fact that you had this low-visibility procedure since, after about 48 hours, there isn’t much evidence.

What results can a patient expect from FaceTite?

FaceTite is very effective for properly selected patients. It’s important to go to someone that knows their stuff and offers many options to ensure you are getting the right recommendation. If you are seeing a doctor that can’t do a facelift, and all they can offer for neck rejuvenation is FaceTite, you might get a suboptimal recommendation to have FaceTite. If you are a good candidate for FaceTite, and while there is some variability in the results achieved, you can generally expect a significant reduction in skin laxity in the treatment areas. Facelifts and neck lifts do remain the gold standard for face and neck rejuvenation with severe laxity. The results are long-lasting, but you will, of course, continue to age after the procedure.

Are there summer-specific precautions or considerations to keep in mind?

The beauty of FaceTite is that recovery is very easy, and there aren’t many post-procedure restrictions. My recommendation is for patients to wait 7 days before swimming to ensure their access points are completely healed. Excessive sun exposure for the first few days should be avoided. After that, heavy SPF application is pretty protective. You should expect to be wearing a compression garment for the first 48 hours and then one week after that at night.

Are there any specific post-treatment recommendations?

During the cooler months, many patients opt to have the procedure on a Friday so they can wear their compression over the weekend and then get back to work without it by Monday. Over the summer, weekday procedures on a Monday followed by remote work on Tuesday and Wednesday are more popular so you can be ready for the beach by the weekend!
