To learn more about how Refine Health got its backbone, we sat down with Jannette Nieves of Refine Health; here’s what she shared:
What inspired you to open Refine Health?
Growing up in Miami, the beauty, skincare, and cosmetic industries were all around me. I had always found myself fascinated and drawn in by the cosmetic industry. In high school, I knew I wanted to learn more about skin health, and that's when I began to work at a dermatologist's office. Working at the dermatologist's office only confirmed my passion for the cosmetic and healthcare industry. As you will read, I saw some changes I’d like to see in how services are provided and the approach to treatments for patients, which is what shaped Refine into being what it is today.
What's Refine Health's mission?
At the start of Refine Health, our mission was to help people reach their health and beauty goals. Today this continues to be our mission. Our goal is to leave our patients looking and feeling their best through our customizable services that are tailored to each person who walks through our door. Everybody is different and needs different treatments, so we use their goals to assess what would be best for them properly!
If you had to pick three words to describe the vibe of your practice, what would they be and why?
Knowledgeable, transparent, and trustworthy - with a splash of upscale and VIP feels. We believe in a practice that offers it all. Wellness and aesthetics - what more do you need? Our patients trust us to create optimal results, ensuring successful treatments for you to feel and look good every time you leave our facility. At the same time, this industry has a ton of unreliable and dangerous practices. We proudly provide transparent, trustworthy services focusing on provider and patient relationships to guarantee proper results and experience.
How did you come up with the name of your practice?
I believe many people think of the doctor's office as a waiting room full of sick patients with long wait times. It’s time to change the narrative. I've always envisioned a private VIP experience that can simultaneously transport you to an oasis while restoring your physical well-being. Once we saw great success, we went the extra mile and added mobile services. If we went to the homes of those patients that can barely get out of bed, much less drive, it allows me to Refine the health industry along with our beautiful patients!
What are the most popular services requested?
Services that include rejuvenation of the skin and anti-aging. We offer a variety of treatments that can focus on different goals for patients. Our most popular would be filler and Morpheus8; in conjunction, they can restore volume to receding areas and tighten the skin.

What is the future of your field?
The future of aesthetics lies in the provider's talent, continuing education, and the latest technology to perform safe procedures on patients and achieve their goals.
What are you best known for?
Refine Health is best known for its private concierge services in aesthetics and also primary care. We offer various services for patients, including wellness visits, urgent care needs, and aesthetic services.
What is unique about your Refine Health?
Not only are our treatments performed by board-certified providers who are taking continuous courses to stay up to date on new products as we only use name-brand, but we are also constantly working to ensure the latest and trusted medical grade products for our patients, that's why they always come back. We are also exclusive providers for RHA Collection, a new line of hyaluronic acid fillers designed to mimic the hyaluronic acid found in our bodies closely. Refine Health is one of the few offices that offer Morpheus8, the microneedling and radio frequency treatment, with a provider that has extensively trained and treated hundreds of patients. To give a comparison, other facilities have office clerks performing M8, which can create an unsuccessful or even dangerous treatment experience.
Are there any new services you are excited to offer?
We offer the latest and greatest Morpheus8. Using advanced techniques and numbing skills, our patients receive personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs. Morpheus8 is a microneedling and radio frequency treatment that helps tighten skin, stimulate collagen, reduce acne/ acne scars/stretch marks, fat dissolving, help treat hyperhidrosis, and even more!
What is one underrated service that doesn’t receive as much press as it should be?
Skin services such as chemical peels are underrated by patients, but they are always ecstatic once completed. Hyperpigmentation or discolored skin can be caused by sun damage, hormones, aging, medication, etc. We have multiple treatment plans that can focus on reversing damage and restoring healthy, bright skin.
