Recently, more male celebrities are making their mark in the skincare industry while simultaneously normalizing the use of skincare for men. Jared Leto joins the likes of Brad Pitt’s Le Domaine and Idris Elba’s S’Able with the launch of his new wellness brand, Twentynine Palms. The beauty brand is inspired by Joshua Tree’s “hallucinogenic beauty,” as the name suggests, with products for the skin, body, and home inspired by the majesty and myth of the desert.

The desert city of Twentynine Palms influenced the products’ ingredients – think Prickly Pear to fatty acid-rich Evening Primrose. The line consists of eleven cosmetic products and a $195 limited-edition scarf. With a wide range of products designed specifically for your skin, hair, and body, pricing ranges from $39.00 for a hand wash to $97.00 for an eye cream. Each skin product is vegan and cruelty-free with local ingredients from the Mojave desert with formulations intended to accompany daydreams, fantasies, trips, bolts of inspiration, and moments of stillness. The products are developed without artificial fragrance with an earthy scent that includes notes of sage and frankincense.

Leto is also staying true to his sustainability mission with his new line. To be as environmentally conscious as possible Twentynine Palms offers refill packs for each product to encourage recycling. Each product comes in Miron glass, a biophotonic material that ensures a well-preserved product without the need for preservative ingredients and less-sustainable packaging products.

The singer/actor hopes to expand his brand in the future to design objects and personal and home fragrances, which are reportedly set to roll out in 2023. The current line of wellness products are available now for purchase at www.twentyninepalms.com. And in-store at Dover Street Parfums Market in Paris and Dover Street Market’s New York, Los Angeles, and London locations.
