The Zombie Facial

Call it what you want, but that Game of Thrones, Dragon, Grandma-looking facial, that you’ve probably seen on Instagram was one that “made me look like a 200-year-old creepy monster.” Within minutes of the esthetician applying the mask on her deallocate, neck and face with a fan brush, which felt very pleasant and smooth, she was able to feel her skin shrinking and lifting. “I must admit, it’s painful, and at some point, I felt a choking sensation on my neck. But hello, beauty is pain!"

The treatment sits for 30 minutes, and “while my esthetician was sipping her coffee and bragging about how the treatment works better than microcurrent, I must admit she was right. I have never seen that type of life after any treatment.” The DMK enzyme therapy creates a “reverse osmosis” action, which means it is a back-flushing action that forces fluid through the membranes around the cell, flushing out impurities. By utilizing transfer messenger enzymes, the cells that communicate with each other, our circulation is increased and delivers fresh oxygenated blood to the skin, leaving you with a clean, clear, and healthy environment for cells to thrive and function at their optimal level.

The Snail Facial

Just when one thought a slimy creature would never make it close to your face, you thought wrong. Snail mucin contains nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein enzymes, and proteoglycans, which are all known for their healing and rebuilding properties. In fact, it’s a very popular ingredient in Korean skincare, its roots started in Ancient Greece. They used snails to heal burns and wounds.

As many spas in Asia and Europe started offering services where you can experience an actual live snail facial, “I had to try one and was absolutely mind blown. It was the most beautiful and awful experience at the same time.” How the snail facial works is that the snail lands on your face, and almost attaches to you instantly. As it slides in the direction, similar to a massage or another treatment, “it felt like a million unicorns were licking my face with a gallon or two of hyaluronic.” After the treatment is over, Lana felt extremely lifted and hydrated for days. When asking her if she would do it again, her answer was, “yes!”

The Papaya Facial

Papaya is the new pumpkin, or is it? Entering the fall season means one thing and one thing only, pumpkin is going viral. Pumpkin latte, pumpkin pie, pumpkin facial, and the list goes on and on. Being based in Miami, she doesn’t experience the holidays as much as folks do up North, so it’s no surprise that Miami does things with a twist.

Papaya consists of an enzyme called papain which promotes the healing of the skin and will also enhance the secretion of collagen when used topically for the skin. Collagen is a primary skin component that keeps the skin healthy, enhances skin elasticity, and decreases inflammation. The protein-dissolving papain can be found in many exfoliating products. These products help reduce acne by removing dead skin cells that can clog pores. Papain can also remove damaged keratin that can build up on the skin and form small bumps.

The Black Algae Facial

When you hear the word algae, you wouldn’t think facial. But, in the world of medical spas and facials, there are no limits – I mean, did you see the snail picture above? The OSEA Black Algae Flash Mask is a potent dual-action mask formulated with next-level enzymatic exfoliation. Malic Acid, Fig, and Pumpkin Enzymes exfoliate to deliver an immediate glow, while Jojoba Spheres, an eco-friendly and effective alternative to plastic microbeads, physically exfoliate the complexion. As a result, her skin experienced hydration like no other.

The 24K Diamond Facial

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but so is gold. “My happy hormones were having a party while the 24K certified gold leaves were being massaged into my skin.” In addition, the benefits are endless; It stimulates cellular growth to regenerate healthy, firm skin cells and provides a tightening effect. Gold also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as recreating broken cellular connections, which translates into fine lines and wrinkles being diminished with its use.

The Fire & Ice Facial

It only makes sense to start off the fire and ice facial, hot. So, to the full-body infrared Sauna, she went! By raising the body temperature, you begin to sweat, and sweat helps detoxify, leading to an exceptional glow. Following was a signature enzyme peel, with extractions, pure oxygen and nutrients to nourish and soothe your skin. Now for the ice, cryo sculpting came into play. Cryo sculpting calms your nervous system and shrinks pores. Lana actually created this treatment for a local spa and “was amazed by the results and the entire experience.”
