Are you looking to reduce or prevent fine lines and wrinkles? You’ve come to the right place. Though you might think we are about to recommend well-known fillers or Botox, we have some news for you.
Haute Beauty Ambassador, Dr. Sachin Shridharani of LUXURGERY, is here to announce a brand new neuromodulator, you read correctly…The new and recently FDA-approved neuromodulator, DAXXIFY by Revance is on the market to fix fine lines and wrinkles. To learn more about the hautest neuromodulator, Dr. Shridharani fills us in on the details. Here’s what he shared:
What is DAXXIFY (Revance)?
DAXXIFY is the first and only FDA-approved long-lasting peptide-formulated neuromodulator aka neurotoxin aka “Botox” aka wrinkle eraser for use in adults to temporarily improve the appearance of frown lines in between the eyebrows (glabella).
How does it work?
DAXXIFY injections with Dr. Shridharani block certain chemical signals from nerves that cause muscles to contract. This causes the muscles to temporarily relax, resulting in softening of fine lines and wrinkles in the regions.
How is it different from other neuromodulators?
DAXXIFY, unlike other neuromodulators, addresses the unmet need of other Botox-type products – duration. Most Botox-type injections only last approximately 3 months, but DAXXIFY has the ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for an average of 6 months and up to 9 months in some individuals.

What does the downtime look like?
There is minimal downtime for DAXXIFY. Patients can expect roughly a 30-minute recovery time due to the use of needles for injection. Our LUXURGERY team will provide cold pack treatment both before and after treatment to reduce some of the mild reactions you may have.
What are the benefits?
DAXXIFY benefits include softening of fine lines and wrinkles in specified regions. Dr. Shridharani can inject DAXXIFY off-label to other areas such as crow’s feet, forehead, masseter (jawline), etc… Due to its longer duration effect, as few as two treatments are needed to achieve year-long results.
Are there any reasons a person cannot receive this treatment?
DAXXIFY is contraindicated in those individuals with obvious skin infections to the desired injection site. DAXXIFY is also contraindicated in those individuals who have had adverse reactions in the past to other botulinum toxins. There is also no information regarding the presence of the drug in breast milk, the effect on the breastfed infant, and the effect on milk production of the mother when an injection is received during lactation. Therefore, this injection is not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
When can I get DAXXIFY?
VERY SOON! Brand-new neuromodulator, DAXXIFY, recently received FDA approval. Dr. Shridharani is excited to be an early adopter and amongst the first in the world to treat using this wrinkle eraser after the product became commercially available.
