Accompany Haute Beauty At Neutrogena's #SKINU Master Class

We were always Neutrogena fans. And we have our receipts to prove it. But, little did we know that our attendance at the spectacular Neutrogena Skin University event would take our love for the brand to the next level. This past Wednesday, Neutrogena made landfall at the exquisite Mr. C Hotel in Miami, Florida, to host the #SKINU master class panel. While influential attendees across the Miami community arrived, Mr.C’s famous Bellini was served.

At first glance, what we believed to be a room of cocktail hours, chats, hors d'oeuvres, and product matching with pro makeup artist, Erik Cuesta, opened up to an eventful and informative panel discussion filled with the best of Neutrogena products and experts. As we took our seats, in awe of the glam we had before us, Neutrogena’s brand ambassador, Gaby Espino, took the stage to introduce the rest of the team. In the mix was Neutrogena R&D scientist Kenia Bido-Baez, makeup artist Cuesta, and our very own Haute Beauty expert Dr. Bertha Baum.

While the words flowed and remote attendees took to Zoom, the ever-so-important skin conversation on manchas (hyperpigmentation) specifically for Latinxs began. Did you know that manchas is one of the biggest skin concerns for Latinxs? In fact, 1 in 2 Hispanics are affected by hyperpigmentation. That being the case, Neutrogena experts shared helpful tips, tricks, products, and regimens that can treat and improve manchas.

“There are many tools in our skincare routine that can be used to treat and prevent hyperpigmentation such as Vitamin C, Retinol and correct hydration, as well as sunscreen, which what I recommend the most,” said Dr. Baum. As experts went back and forth with audience members, answering their questions, Dr. Baum placed an emphasis on sun protection and the re-application of sunscreen.

Throughout the event, Cuesta, alongside the experts, went through each product in front of us. Whether it was how to properly use the beauty blender to blend in the Clear Coverage Color Correcting Concealer or when to use the award-winning Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream, Cuesta covered and demonstrated it all.

Glammed to perfection, Neutrogena’s SKINU master class came to a close. “As a Latina who has gone through her struggles with manchas, I’ve learned that the base of all things beauty is health and happiness. Neutrogena’s SKINU masterclass was an amazing opportunity to promote an important message to skin health and how to overcome issues like hyperpigmentation,” stated Espino, and we agree with that.
