In the past Skims has featured Paris Hilton, wearing velour tracksuits for a y2k flair(very fitting), and Megan Fox who teamed up with Kourtney Kardashian for an iconic photoshoot that drew quite a bit of attention to their social media. This time Kim has truly outdone herself by bringing together some of the most recognizable and well-loved supermodels in the industry.
The new campaign for the Skims “Fits Everybody” collection features Heidi Klum, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Tyra Banks. From the looks of the campaign, the line seems to feature a variety of bras, tops, bodysuits, and more. So far the Skims Instagram has shared a few group shots, some retro-inspired videos, and, of course, some solo shots of the stunning models to their 3.9 million followers. All of the models obviously looked stunning in the shoot, bringing fans back to the nostalgic days of the original Victoria’s Secret Angels considering all of these supermodels walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at some point in their careers. Despite the different paths they’ve all taken, they're still in incredible shape and haven’t lost their abilities to work the camera.
As if that wasn’t enough to get people talking, in the spur of the moment, Kim decided to hop in on a few of the shots herself posing in the middle of the group of supermodels like a natural, almost fitting in too well. She shared on Instagram, “OK so I wasn’t supposed to be in this @SKIMS campaign but I stopped by and jumped in because it was too iconic. Introducing Tyra, Heidi, Alessandra, and Candice wearing our signature SKIMS Fits Everybody collection.” We don’t blame her; how could you pass up that opportunity?
What's Next?
While Skims as a whole is more focused on size inclusivity than we have seen in the past, the collaboration still makes a lot of sense and definitely grabbed people’s attention as it quickly circulated around the internet, especially with everyone reposting on Instagram stories. The former Victoria’s Secret models are pros, and it shows in the photos. If you haven’t seen the pictures yet, it’s definitely worth a look over on Instagram.
Skims seems to continue to be a success with loyal fans that return time and time again for her silky shapewear made in a wide variety of sizes and colors. They recently also ventured off into the swimwear category, it will be exciting to see how that all evolves with summer rapidly approaching. Right now, on the Skims website, you can shop the Fits Everybody Slip dress, bike shorts, cheeky string bikini, and more from the collection. It will be hard to top these photos in the next campaign for the brand, but I’m sure they will come up with something. We can’t wait for what’s to come with Skims!
