Chat With Haute Beauty Leaders, Episode 7: Dr. Jason Bloom

As Haute Beauty continues its “Chat with Haute Beauty Leaders” series, Haute Media Group Co-founder Seth Semilof hosted a discussion with Dr. Jason Bloom, a representative of the Haute Beauty Network in the Pennsylvania market.

The interview includes topics regarding Dr. Bloom's upbringing, his highly-lauded educational background and how he came to the decision beginning his own practice.

Dr. Jason D. Bloom is an award-winning, Ivy-League trained, double board-certified facial plastic & reconstructive surgeon.  His extensive experience and reputable training provide the foundation for his excellent technical skills and surgical aesthetic. Seth Semilof: And so, even as a little kid, you always wanted to get into this field?

Dr. Jason Bloom: Yeah, I loved it. I'm a guy that could never have a desk job. I love using my hands, I love thinking and I love interacting with patients. That's why, even though I am in the operating room three days a week, I still maintain an office space practice where I do injectable treatments and see patients for consultation. I love this interaction. I love talking to people.

SS: In your bio we mentioned how you earned admission into the prestigious and elite medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Can you tell us a little bit about that?

DJB: I would say that was one of my biggest honors of my Medical School career, if not the largest, achieving that because, you know, it looks good when applying to these residencies.

SS: Two years ago, you started your own business, tell us a little about that. Tell us a little about the process and your mindset with all of the risks that were involved etc. 

DJB: On the first day we opened our doors... by noon, it was as if we had to open more phone lines because so many people were calling. And it almost brought me to tears to think that so many people would trust me to be their surgeon and take care of them.

SS: Obviously you do facial plastic surgery but you also do head and neck surgeries, correct?

DJB: I used to do head and neck reconstructions and things of that nature but my practice is now 100% cosmetics and just aesthetic surgery at this point.
