We all know the phrase, ‘like mother, like daughter,’ but what about ‘like daughters, like mother’? As it happens, Kris Jenner might be launching a beauty brand of her own. After all, we wouldn’t have KKW Beauty or Kylie Cosmetics if it weren’t for the 65-year-old Kardashian matriarch, so it seems natural that she’d follow in her daughters' footsteps.
WWD reported that Jenner filed documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Feb. 10 to obtain trademarks for “Kris Jenner Beauty,” “Kris Jenner Skin,” and “Kris Jenner Skin Care.” Although the reality TV star hasn’t publicly commented on the project, the trademark documents reportedly cover a wide assortment of potential products related to skincare, fragrance, hair care, nail care, and much more.
Nevertheless, Jenner may face some tough competition as the market for celebrity beauty brands continues to soar. In the past two months alone, numerous celebrities — including Halsey, Sofia Vergara, Ciara, Dolly Parton, Hailey Bieber, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, and Jonathan Van Ness — have launched their own beauty brands. Meanwhile, others have announced their plans to enter the growing market.
But of course, Jenner boasts the advantage of having two daughters who run successful beauty brands: Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner—both have already collaborated with their mother on beauty brand projects, respectively. Plus with her grand social media following, Jenner can easily promote her products with the touch of her finger.
For now, there’s not much more information surrounding this prospective endeavor. However, we’ll keep an eye out for any hints or announcements of a beauty brand on Jenner’s social media.
