Our approach for anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox and XEOMIN, as well as injectable fillers, is to help the patient figure out what kind of results they want. Our consultation with Dr. Young helps figure out a customized look for each individual.
HB: How does it work?
Injections such as Botox and XEOMIN contain a safe, effective botulinum toxin that relaxes the muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. These can reduce or eliminate current lines and wrinkles, as well as be taken preventatively to mitigate any wrinkles from beginning to form.
Filler treatments are used to create volume in the face, in areas where the progression of time causes areas of hollowing or the deepening of lines such as the nasolabial folds (also known as ‘smile lines’). Fillers can also be injected into the lines under the eyes, or to produce a youthful pout in the lips.
HB: Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime with Evoke. Many patients complete their sessions during their lunch breaks and then return to work. Both Botox and Fillers may cause some minor bruising and swelling. Coverup may be applied right after treatment.
HB: Should you refrain from sun exposure after these treatments?
Yes, you should avoid extended sun exposure for at least a week after treatment.
