I was born and raised in Miami, Florida to Cuban immigrant parents. Seeing the hardships my parents went through in order to give me and my siblings a life filled with opportunity has been my biggest motivation. Being the third generation of dentists in my family, I have always been immersed in the dental field and discovered my passion early in life.
I really enjoy changing my patients' idea of what it is like to go to the dentist and make it a positive experience. Each patient is unique and should receive dental care specific to their individual needs, and that is why I spend time getting to know my patients' concerns and expectations.
What is the biggest misconception about your field?
That dentistry has to be terrible or painful.
What is your most memorable patient reaction?
A smile is the first thing someone notices when they see you. Imagine how tough it can be on someone's confidence to not have a smile that lives up to their standards or expectations. Many times when I show a patient their new smile, they begin to cry and it makes me very emotional as well. I am so grateful I can help patients not only become healthier, but also feel more confident about themselves

What do you love most about your profession?
When it comes to my career as a dentist, my favorite part has to be transforming my patients' lives. Whether its giving them the confidence they wanted, removing their anxiety or helping them get out of pain. It always makes me feel good I can make an impact in their lives no matter how big or small.
