Haute Beauty chats with Dr. Rafael Emerick Salas about the Dermal Infusion Facial. This all-encompassing treatment works to smooth away dead skin and infuse the refreshed skin with a variety of serums to tackle a variety of skin concerns.
What is a Dermal Infusion Facial?
We all live baseline dehydrated. We don't drink enough water. We drink a lot of coffee or tea or any other drinks that have caffeine in them. And as I'm sure everybody is aware, all those changes in your nutrition and diet, show on your skin as well. This is sort of a shortcut to get to a more even glowing complexion and immediate hydration.
How does the Dermal Infusion Facial Work?
We want to have a conversation as to what are you trying to achieve, and then from there, I'm here to guide you. The key thing about this is that it's all in one. All three steps occur at the same time. The process involves gentle exfoliation to smooth away uneven texture and damage from the surface. Simultaneously, the underlying layers of skin tissue are infused with specially-crafted topical solutions that work to target and correct the unique skincare needs of each patient. These formulas are absorbed deep within the skin for maximum results.
How many treatments are needed?
So the usual treatment for corrective is the series of five treatments. It's one of those things where we want to build to that when you're there and then you can space it out and just do more maintenance. We want to maintain that at the four to six-week mark, where you kind of repeat so you can keep getting that nice glow from this treatment.
What type of issues does the Dermal Infusion Facial address?
- Dull, tired-looking, dry and uneven skin tone and texture
- Acne and acne-related scarring
- Enlarged pores
- Hyperpigmentation
- Smooth away harmful debris on the skin surface
- Improve skin firmness and elasticity
What does Recovery Look Like?
You can go about your day. Our usual recommendation is to wait until the next day for a hard workout or if you're going to be doing a lot of outdoor stuff in dirt, dust, things like that. Your skin is like super freshly cleaned, so we would love for you to just wait a little bit to give it a chance to recover. Adding a lot of, you know, the oils from your skin with sweat mixed with dirt, it just can create a little bit of an unfriendly environment right off the bat. At the same time, it can be done the day of your event and you go and do your makeup and do your thing!
