My greatest achievement...
My greatest achievement is taking the extra step after 10 years of intense training and education to be selected and complete the world-renowned oculoplastic and aesthetic surgery fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Mark Codner. This once-in-a-lifetime experience gave me the tools and skills needed to take my techniques to the next level for the benefit of my patients.
The future of my field is:
I notice a trend in what I call “micro-procedures” where patients are starting to do smaller treatments and procedures at a younger age and more frequently. Over time they have a more steady-state of beauty and youthfulness so there is less of a need for any dramatic surgeries which can look unnatural or obvious to others.
The biggest misconception about my field is:
The biggest misconception about my field is that aesthetic plastic surgery is reserved for the older, wealthy, or vain. I see it as a way for anyone to feel that they have the power to change their life for the better. It can restore a person’s skin after a childhood of acne scarring. It can give a mother back her body from before she had children. I don’t perform procedures just to make people standout or receive attention. Rather, it is about making the patients feel comfortable and confident in themselves.

What surgical advancements are you most excited about?
I feel there is a lot of promise in 3D printing of custom facial implants for cosmetic enhancement. For patients looking for more natural enhancements, I am most excited about stem cell therapies supplementing the surgeon’s techniques to improve healing as well as enhance cosmetic results.
What are you best known for?
I am best known for eyelids surgeries - oh, and my charm.
What is your most memorable patient reaction?
My favorite reactions are the ones after I reveal to the patient for the first time what they look like under their dressings. I had one particular weight-loss patient who started crying and hugging me and her daughter said, “None of us have ever seen our mom so skinny and happy.” She then sent me photos for the next three days of her trying on all her daughter’s outfits.
What sets my practice apart:
My practice is a boutique aesthetics center where each individual patient is our top priority. My team and I make sure we accommodate all of our patients’ needs whether it is through online video consultations, home visits, or weekend appointments. We schedule every patient with as much time as needed for them to have all their questions answered. Even after their visit, every patient has a direct communication line to our concierge 24/7.
What I love most about my profession is:
Every day is new and exciting. No two patients and no two surgeries are ever alike. Plastic surgery is an ever-changing field which continues to evolve and advance at breakneck speed, and this motivates me to continue learning and growing with the field. Life as a plastic surgeon never gets boring.
Career defining procedure?
My defining procedure is my special Bright Eye Lift in which the entire lower eyelid, cheek, and midface are made smooth and lifted through a hidden incision beneath the eyelashes.
What new services are you excited to offer?
I am adding some new technologies to enhance our most popular procedures. These include a new generation of collagen-stimulating and pulling threads for minimally invasive face and neck lifting as well as stem cell banking.
