Kylie Cosmetics Beauty Brand to Reach $1 Billion in Five Years

The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kylie Jenner has found not only fame on her own – but also considerable financial clout, which is projected to grow.

Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics is poised to become $1-billion beauty label by 2022, reports indicate. This is a major feat for the two-year old company that even industry mavericks have failed to attain.

Since its launch in late 2015, the label, which started with lip kits, has raked in over $420 million in retail sales. Just this month, Jenner made $10 million with her 20th-birthday collection that sold out in minutes.

And yet, Jenner seems to have just started. She is working on foundations and concealers to complete the range of her brand and is mulling on the possibility to open a brick-and-mortar boutique.

“I don’t know how we’re going to do it. I think it’s time people walk into a store and see Kylie Cosmetics,” she said in a recent interview with WWD. “I do want that but we haven’t figured out exactly how we’re going to do that and what approach were going to take.”

Whatever strategy the reality TV star and beauty mogul picks for her physical store, she is already on a winning route. According to Marie Claire UK, Bobbi Brown Beauty needed 25 years and Lancome took 80 years to reach the $1-billion mark, which Kylie Jenner is projected to hit in only seven years since its inception.
