Who knew that injectable facial fillers and dermatological cosmetics can work together?
Well, Galderma and Colorescience definitely did.
In the beginning of March, the two major beauty brands announced a collaboration that unites Galderma’s facial injectables and Colorescience’s skin health products to develop an innovative skincare line. Although Galderma and Colorescience have not so far expounded on any intended products, their collaboration is said to leverage both labels’ expertise in their respected fields to develop skincare solutions that benefit consumers as well as beauty practitioners.
The Galderma – Colorescience partnership comes in a time when some 17 million US women are open to aesthetic injectable treatments and double this tally purchase skincare products at their doctors’ office, according to a 2014 Bain Aesthetic Consumer Segmentation report. Both brands are set to jointly tap into their individual markets and bring them together by creating novel facial injectables and protective makeup blends.
“As a company dedicated to the creation of prestige skin health products that promote 365-day protection from UV rays and environmental stressors to enhance beauty without compromise, we're thrilled to partner with Galderma to offer products to healthcare professionals and women looking for health-forward skincare solutions,” said Mary Fisher, President and Chief Executive Officer of Colorescience, in a press statement on the occasion.
In its 12 years in the beauty industry, Colorescience has used only pure substantiated ingredients to offer makeup and skincare collections that not only enhance facial features but also protect them from harmful environmental factors.
Having launched lines such as Restylane and Epiduo, Galderma, with presence in over 100 countries, manages a portfolio of scientifically-defined and medically-proven products that treat various dermatological conditions.
