M.A.C (Makeup, Art, Cosmetics) was established in Toronto back in 1984 by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo. It wasn't until 1991 that the first U.S. M.A.C store opened in New York. M.A.C is now a renowned cosmetics line with an array of products that appeal to the everyday consumer. Known for releasing unique collections throughout the years, such as The Simpsons collection for Fall 2014 and the Cinderella collection for Spring 20150, M.A.C’s Autumn/Winter 2015 cosmetics line may be their most unique one yet.
They say "A dog is a man's best friend," but now it's safe to say that a dog is a woman's best friend too. Canines are the inspiration behind M.A.C’s Autumn/Winter 2015 cosmetics line. Dogs are no longer a mere accessory, they are the center of attention in this new beauty collection. You're probably thinking, dogs plus makeup, I'm not sure how this is going to turn out. Keep calm and read on. “Haute Dogs” is the latest high-pedigree collection from the beauty brand, inspired by the “buttery fur tones” of fashion-forward pooches. The collection's goal is to highlight and augment natural beauty.
The line counts on baked mineral eyeshadow compacts in fall shades, soft berry lipsticks, and an entire series of “shaping powders” in diverse shades of beiges, peaches, and golds for all your sculpting and contouring needs. It also includes a trio of nail lacquers in sophisticated autumnal hues, playfully named “Very Important Poodle,” “Snazzy Hound” and “Vintage Vamp,” as well as a series of tapered brushes for the precision application of face creams, powders, and eye liners. Lip pencils, brow liners, and a new “Mineralize Skinfinish” highlighting powder for the face and body complete the line.
In celebration of the well-groomed line, M.A.C launched a multilingual website featuring fashionable owners from around the globe along with their canines. Owners are encouraged to publish “doggelganger” selfies with their pets using hashtags #Machautedogs and #Macsbestfriend and might just be featured in M.A.C's website gallery.
