The Empire State Building has a history of lighting up in different colors as a statement for city-wide or world-wide events. Back in January, it shone green and white in honor of the Jets’ NFL playoff game against the New England Patiors. More recently, the skyscraper lit up in red and white as a tribute to the earthquake victims in Japan. And last night, the iconic building was illuminated in blue. The occasion? The 20 Year Reunion show of the Blue Man Group.

It has been rumored for a while that the ever-popular Nobu has been wanting to set up shop in our favorite summer weekend destination. And now, Grub Street New York reports that they have finally selected the perfect location. Nobu at the Beach will be located inside the Capri Hotel in Southampton with hopeful plans to open in time for summer.

A good friend of mine had a beautiful 30th birthday party last night at Le Cirque. More than 200 friends showed up for the party, which started off with a seated dinner and then led to dancing.

More than 600 guests showed up for the event and for a chance to meet Mr. Antonio Tincati himself, who flew in from Italy to meet and greet his New York customers.
