Rebecca moved to the United Arab Emirates from Paris to work for an art gallery at the Emirates Palace hotel. Her dream was to take part in the tremendous development of the arts in the United Arab Emirates as well as explore the burgeoning world of fashion and luxury goods in the region. In Dubai Rebecca specializes in the Arab art scene as well as regularly attends the region's foremost fashion and luxury events. She also has a knack for discovering the finest dining experience's Dubai and Abu Dhabi have to offer. In her spare time, Rebecca attends Yoga and dance classes in Dubai Marina and enjoys curling up with her favorite book and a scented Diptyque candle.

The Spectacle of War at Empty Quarter Gallery

Opening soon at the Empty Quarter Gallery in DIFC is “Spectacle of War”, a unique exhibition featuring for the first time in the region a group of international photographers and their captured images from contemporary wars. Works by Benjamin Lowy, Richard Mosse, Spencer Murphy, Phil Nesmith, and Trevor Paglen depict various scenes mostly of the Iraq war.

Last week Dubai witnessed a stunning array of mega-yachts at the 19th Dubai International Boat Show held at the Dubai International Marine Club at the Mina Seyahi Hall. Gulf Craft, the region’s largest and most internationally renowned boat manufacturer introduced a new model from each of its three distinct brands: Majesty, Oryx, and Silvercraft. The new models include Majesty 70, Oryx 42 Open, and Silvercraft 38CC fishing boat as well as the ‘Gulf 95 Exp’, a brand new 95 foot yacht introducing a new lifestyle concept to the Middle East.
