Taking the B(LT) out of the City- LT Burger in the Harbor
LT Burger in the Harbor is the culmination of just that–the brainchild of Manhattan chef/restaurateur Laurent Tourondel (until recently, the “LT” part of the BLT restaurant group in NYC including BLT Steak, BLT Burger, BLT Market and BLT Fish) and Michael Cinque, owner of Amagansett Wines & Spirits. The story has it that this dynamic duo’s friendship started as a chance one between customer and business owner. The two bonded for life when both men by happenstance were stranded in France due to the ash cloud formed by the Icelandic volcano in April 2010. It was right there and then that the plan to create LT Burger in the Harbor was born.
Haute Dining: Gilt-y Pleasures/ Gilt Restaurant
Gold. Glitter. Lamé. Very in vogue this fashion season. I must confess, with all of these sparkling flecks of fairy dust in the air, it seems only fitting to dine in gold as well. Enter, GILT. If you want a fabulous meal and a great bottle of champagne, Gilt has you covered. If you are out and about and want a really good nosh and a quick cocktail on your way home, they can do this too.
Haute Spot: The Backyard Restaurant Has Got Solé! (East), Montauk
Located in the beautiful Solé East in Montauk, the Backyard Restaurant backs up its name without compromising its elegance thanks to the fusion of its simple design with its classic country club feel. This quintessential Hamptons sanctuary allows for relaxed dining as if you were in your very own “backyard” with tables placed amongst floral gardens situated on a lavish and sprawling lawn, all surrounding a pristine swimming pool; a roaring fire pit, tiki torches, and day beds enhance the ambiance.
Haute Dining: The Beacon Restaurant Lights Sag Harbor
Picture this. It’s been a perfectly beautiful Indian summer day which gives rise to a perfect evening. Sunset dining outside on the deck, right on the water would fit right in.
Enter the Beacon restaurant.
Haute Spot: A Metamorphosis from Sen to Phao at Phao, Sag Harbor
Sen Restaurant in Sag Harbor has reincarnated its neighboring space, previously occupied by Sen Spice, with Phao Thai restaurant; but it seems that the conversion doesn’t stop here. This hip and contemporary downtown spot has somewhat of an alter ego to match, offering Thai cuisine during the dinner hour, but shifting gears by late night and morphing into a dynamic night club, complete with Karaoke on Thursdays and DJ nights on the weekends. This makes it the perfect one stop shop where you can enjoy a fabulous meal and ease your way into the next phase of your evening. Most importantly, this is all pulled off seamlessly and with finesse and style.

The refurbished Baker House (formerly the J. Harper Poor Cottage) has been recognized as “Inn of the Month” by Travel and Leisure magazine is one of the oldest continuously occupied structures in the United States. Dating back to the earliest settlers of the Village of East Hampton, this makes for a particularly charming spot seasoned with hundreds of year’s worth of history.
Haute Spot: East Hampton’s Hedges Inn
Listed in The National Register of Historic Places and dating back to 1652, this house was originally built as a residence for the affluent Hedges family. In the latter part of the 1800s, the Hedges opened its door to guests, reinventing itself as a lodging inn, with 12 guest rooms complimented by beautifully decorated common areas.
