The Western Front, a heartfelt documentary written and directed by former US Marine, Zachary Iscol, premiered at the Intrepid Museum on April 23. The film depicts the struggle experienced my Marines attempting to assimilate back into society. Iscol fought in Al Anbar, Iraq’s most volatile province and the movie is largely based on his own personal struggle to live among civilians.

The American Heart Association of Broward County celebrated their 2010 Heart Ball, which raised over $550,000 for lifesaving research, education, and community programs. Over 300 corporate, medical, and community leaders were treated to “A Night in New York,” at the Westin Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, where they enjoyed drinks, dinner, lively entertainment, and both a silent and live auction.

The 3rd Annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon took place this April 11 and featured more than 2,400 competitors ranging from celebrities, athletes, corporate teams, and professional paratriathletes.
