No one knows how to breezily mix sharp, dark, rock ‘n’ roll with sexy and chic quite like Jill Stuart. The designer somehow manages to always make her ‘rough around the edges’ designs look effortless and ultra sleek. This year’s show at New York Fashion Week wowed everyone from her dedicated celebrity clientele base, to your average, lucky-enough-to-afford common folk.

Onlookers chant “TEAM USA! TEAM USA!” waving flags and cheering loudly as the glint of metal flashes across a snowy white backdrop. Figure skating? Nope. Ice Hockey? Not even close. In this arena, knives gleam in lightning-fast chops over a variety of fresh vegetables and cuts of meats, and white chefs coats dart back and forth between stations as the clock ticks down.

Fashion Week 2010 started off with a bang as the Diesel Black Gold Show unveiled its ready-to-wear fall 2010 collection. In a way, it marked the start of a new era inside the fashion house. Led by new creative director, Sophia Kokosalaki, Diesel turned things around with a fresh, new look.
