For the much anticipated IKEA’s 3rd Annual It’s About Time Auction to benefit Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy (G-CAAP), Jane Fonda will be returning to Atlanta to rally support for hear dear cause. This event, unlike any other in Atlanta, auctions off 100 clocks and timepieces that have been transformed into amazing works of art by both artists and celebrities.

You may have caught a glimpse of these bottles in one of Jay-Z’s videos. I know I was drawn to this luxe bubbly as soon as I saw the distinctive gold bottle with pewter Ace of Spades label. So, when I was invited to attend a Taste of Luxury hosted by Frank Ski at 10 Degrees South in Atlanta, I was delighted for a chance to taste this true example of French champagne tradition.

Pink is the color of the month. As an avid supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness, I can’t help but buy for the cause. This year there are so many great options, including limited collections from Tory Burch, BCBG and Ralph Lauren. However, my favorite is the elegant new collection of pink accessories from Swarovski crystal. R&B artist Ne-Yo and actress Monyetta Shaw, who also happens to be pregnant with Ne-Yo’s baby, have opened an amazing boutique in Buckhead. This weekend, I went to check out Emerlyn & Ester and was blown away by the subtle elegance and tailored selection of this just opened boutique. In fact, I did not see one piece I didn’t love. Emerlyn & Esters, named after Mo’s grandmothers has a great eye for fashion and has perfectly replicated her look by carrying mostly new designers she has scooped up on her travels to New York, Vegas and Europe.

There were so many events happening in Atlanta this past weekend. I had plans to attend several different events, but, the original plan had nothing about a Battle of the Burgers in Virginia Highlands. But Friday night when my friend Jesse Altman, CEO and founder of Whynatte, the Atlanta-based coffee energy drink, asked me to help make Whynatte milkshakes, I couldn’t say no.

Atlanta’s hip hop community shines this weekend as guests and celebrities pour into the city for a weekend filled with parties and of course filming for the 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards. Although not airing until Tuesday, October 12 at 8:00 p.m. , the filming will take place today, Saturday, at the Atlanta Civic Center.
