The former Destiny’s Child member will be in the company of friends Serena Williams, Tina Knowles, Jay Sean, New York Giant Kareem McKenzie, and T.V. personality Lala Vasquez to commemorate “I Heart My Girlfriends,” an interactive support system for girls and women of all ages.

Bonhams, a privately owned auction house, is calling dibs on being the first to auction a vintage 1917 Curtiss MF Seagull Flying Boat in the Big Apple. The antique beauty was taken from the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland, Ohio and the sale of the craft is expected to garner between $300,000 and $500,000. Until the auction, it will be on public view in the sculpture garden atrium at 590 Madison Ave.

Legendary race car driver, Sir Stirling Moss, recently took a spill while getting out of an elevator. However, that didn’t stop the 80-year-old from spilling $1.705 million on a 1961 Porsche RS61 Spyder, purchased from the comfort of his hospital bed. Gooding & Company, the official auction house of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, announced that the momentarily crippled race car driver purchased the car from the auction houses’ debut Amelia Island Auction.

Donald J Pliner and his wife Lisa, creative director for the luxury fashion footwear brand, hosted a 20th anniversary celebration that toured attendees through 20 years of designs. From sketches to finished products, guests witnessed a lifetime’s worth of work from the world-renowned designer. The décor consisted of a vast array of African-themed masks, horns, and other textiles that Mr. Pliner acquired throughout his travels.
