This past weekend marked the finale of the 41st annual Marin Designers Showcase. From January 31 – February 26, the Bay Area’s top designers and artists showcased their stunning designs in Villa Belvedere in Marin County.

Summer is just around the corner, and as expected, the San Francisco Symphony has just announced its long-awaited lineup. Summer & The Symphony features a diverse roster of summer concerts for everyone – from classical music lovers, to pop fans, cinephiles and families – which include the world premiere of Pixar in Concert, appearances from Natalie Merchant, the acrobats and circus performers of Cirque Musica and Michael Feinstein.

Philanthropists extraordinaire Jillian Manus and Alan Saltzman hosted their 7th annual Valentine-themed charity at their Atherton residence to benefit the Stanford Cancer Center. True to this year’s theme, Love is a Work of Art, every square inch of the residence was transformed into an artist’s masterpiece.

San Francisco Artisanal bread maker, Boudin Bakery, is celebrating National Clam Chowder Day this Saturday, February 25, 2012. In honor of this special occasion, Boudin Bakery will be offering a one-day buy-one-get-one special for its classic clam chowder in a bread bowl. Boudin is the creator of the Original San Francisco Sourdough and sells over 1 million of its renowned clam chowder in a bread bowl per year.

San Francisco Bay Area dwellers and beyond: Wente Vineyards is the country’s oldest, continuously operated family-owned winery, and rightfully the top reason to escape to Livermore. Last month, the restaurant at Wente Vineyards Chef held a launch party to celebrate the addition of their new chef, Matt Greco. At the event, Greco unveiled his new menu inspired by his New York City roots.

In just one week, Studio Gourmet will feature Jason Berthold, Executive Chef from famed Michael Mina Restaurant, RN74. Guests will be in for a special treat when Berthhold shares intimate details of his cuisine. Enjoy an evening filled with cocktails, nibbles, an exciting cooking demonstrations from Mr. Berthold himself, an intimate Q&A, and a tasting from the chef’s featured dish. Special Guest, Master Sommelier Catherine Fallis will be on hand to pair wines with Jason’s dishes.

On February 2, 2012, a distinguished panel of four designers held a discussion moderated by Dianne Dorrans Saeks about of the future of design at Coup D’etat in San Francisco.

Saks Fifth Avenue and San Francisco Opera Guild hosted a private reception a Night of Shoe-Lovers. Guests viewed the latest Resort and Spring 2012 Shoe collections and entered for a give-away, a $2,500 shoe wardrobe. This event launched a month long initiative between Saks San Francisco and Opera Guild. This February, Saks Fifth Avenue will give 5% of all registered purchases made with a Saks Fifth Avenue credit card back to charity.
