Haute Event: Bloomindales Hosts Edgewood
Benefactors and patrons of Edgewood Center for Children and Families enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and shopped at Bloomingdales, San Francisco Centre, while supporting their favorite cause on Oct. 6. The Edgewood Center for Children and Families provides residential and outpatient services to many of the estimated 5,000 children experiencing emotional distress in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as to their families and historically is recognized as the longest running children’s aid organization in the western states.
Honored guests pre-partied and prepared for Edgewood’s biggest fundraiser, The Hope Ball — a black tie affair that takes place on Nov. 6 — by shopping women’s designer special occasion and men’s tailored clothing departments to find the perfect attire for their fourth annual gala that last year raised $500,000 in one charitable night. Bloomingdales served white wine and Champagne paired with tenderloin rosettes and peach bruschetta and donated 10 percent of the night’s purchases to the nonprofit agency.
Bloomindales, San Francisco Centre, will continue their ongoing partnerships with local charities by hosting another shopping benefit, a two-day affair starting on Oct. 20, aimed at raising funds for six different organizations, including Edgewood, by donating 100 percent of its ticket sales to these respective causes. Tickets for Love Where You Live event are $10, can be purchased in store and include a storewide discount of 15 percent on either Oct. 20 or 21.
