A Peek inside the San Francisco Intercontinental Hotel

News | November 4, 2009

The Intercontinental Hotel located in San Francisco is not only a beautiful and strikingly tall and modern building, but it is also home to the Michelin-starred restaurant, Luce.

But what about the rooms? Since the rooms are typically the main feature of a hotel, and quite important to the factors ensuring guests experience a comfortable stay, we’ll take a look a standard room at the hotel to give you an idea of what to expect.

The standard room has very large windows letting in great amounts of natural light, a cozy work-desk and sitting area, a huge flat-screen TV, an iPod docking station, an over-sized marble bathroom, neutral-toned patterns and fabrics, and an adequately stocked mini bar.

The spa at the hotel, however, features a clever design and has recently been voted among the top ten urban spas. There is also a large sundeck, an indoor lap pool (perfect for rainy days), and a medium-sized gym with updated equipment. Rates start as low as $140, and for that price at the hotels convenient location, all of the above mentioned features sound pretty good.
