Fancy Football: Watch the Texas/OU Game in Style
It’s Friday and we here in Dallas are about to see yet another influx of thousands of football fans for the legendary Texas/OU weekend. Even if you don’t watch college football, you can’t help feel the excitement of this event, when two teams, Oklahoma and UT Austin, meet in the middle for their annual head to head. But do you really want to be a part of the fun in some sports bar filled with college kids slamming Jagerbombs? Isn’t there a slightly more upscale way to celebrate this renowned event? Naturally. This is Dallas, after all.
The Watch Party at the House of Blues
Not just for concerts anymore, the Dallas House of Blues is back with its Texas/OU Watch Party, featuring DJ Bryan C. Party goes from 11am to 6pm, but if you want to stick around for the Citizen Cope show afterwards, feel free. And if you really want to do it up right, head to the VIP area, The Foundation Room.

“Tailgate” at the Shops at Legacy
Who says sports and shopping don’t mix? Head to Plano’s Shops at Legacy to Gameday Cloth, a sports clothing boutique that will host a party filled with food, light bites and live music. Bonus: A trunk show for Dallas Jewelry Designer Rory Ashton, who will feature his “Rory Ashton for Gameday” line.
