Fashion’s Night Out in Philadelphia
The phone book-sized September issue of Vogue has arrived, you’ve invested in a few new pairs of too-cute boots and there’s a light crispness in the air. It’s almost Fall, and for fashionistas there’s more to be excited about than apple cider and pumpkin lattes (although, who can resist?). Tonight, world-wide, is Fashion’s Night Out.
Fashion’s Night Out is a global celebration of clothing and accessories with an aim to bring back consumer confidence. Sixteen countries will hold events marking the day, all including fashion shows, giveaways and a cocktail or two.
Locally, the hub is the King of Prussia Mall, who launches their party at 6 p.m. this evening. Complimentary beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and you can stroll The Plaza and The Court to enjoy live entertainment, food tastings, cosmetic consultations and more. A 7 p.m. fashion show outside of Bloomingdale’s will showcase the best bets for the season, all available at mall retailers.
The stores are getting in on the fun, too, with many holding their own mini parties. 7 for All Mankind is set to have champagne and a DJ, bebe cocktails and swag bags with purchase and Henri Bendel is giving away shirts and tote bags.
If your prefer the boutique bash over the mall, you can still enjoy this year’s Fashion’s Night Out. Just head to Media’s Per Lei Boutique, where a fashion show featuring models from Philadelphia’s new Wilhelmina Modeling Agency will strut their stuff. Representatives from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics will help you pull off Autumn’s new looks, and you can shop the Per Lei Anniversary Sale, cocktail in hand. Guests will also be entered to win $500 worth of fall merchandise. Bonus!
