It was a fitting way to mark a milestone. On Thursday, October 29, the same day his cover story went live, Haute Living hosted a cover launch dinner for cover star 2 Chainz that doubled as a celebration of his new album, A Week in Paris, at Verde New York, at 85 10th Avenue in the Meatpacking District. Presented with partners Champagne Telmont and Louis XIII, the evening honored the Grammy Award-winning artist, entrepreneur and cultural icon over cocktails, conversation and a dinner menu by Chef Julien Lee Thibault.

The cover story catches up with the rapper born Tauheed Epps, whose résumé now spans No. 1 albums, multiplatinum singles and ventures across real estate, hospitality, sports, food and fashion. In “2 Chainz Can Afford Almost Anything. What He Wants Now Isn’t for Sale,” written by Laura Schreffler and photographed by Ben Draper, he opens up about his New York Times bestselling memoir, The Voice in My Head Is God, his forthcoming album P.O.L.O. (Players Only Live Once), fatherhood and why, at 49, legacy is the new luxury. Read the full cover story here: https://hauteliving.com/2026/10/2-chainz-interview-legacy-luxury-memoir-polo/800663/

Guests arrived to a step-and-repeat bearing the Haute Living, Verde, Louis XIII and Telmont marks and a display of the new cover, emblazoned with the line “Legacy Is the New Luxury,” where the guest of honor posed for photographs before the evening moved inside to Verde’s glowing dining room.

Cocktail hour opened with Champagne Telmont Réserve de la Terre and a trio of cocktails: the Midnight Verde, made with The Botanist Gin, basil and lime cordial, green peppercorn essence and green tea soda; the J’Adore, with mezcal, hibiscus-beet cordial, lime, agave and habanero chili tincture; and the 99 Problems, mixing vodka, fresh cucumber, yuzu, Italicus, bergamot and ginger beer. Canapés of truffle pizzetta, mini hot dogs with truffle and tuna passion circulated as guests mingled.

Dinner was served at a long table set with candlelight, crystal and decanters of Louis XIII. Each course was paired with vintage Telmont: Blanc de Blancs 2007 alongside the first appetizers of yellowtail crudo with aguachile and coconut milk and wagyu carpaccio with basil pesto, caperberries and Parmesan; Blanc de Blancs 2012 with a lobster salad and a cecina pizzetta; and Vinothèque 2013 with mains of salmon fillet in beurre blanc, truffle macaroni with mascarpone cream and a traditional duck parmentier, served with baby gem lettuce, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and French fries for the table.

After an interlude of lemon sorbet, Louis XIII took the spotlight for the final act, poured alongside a dessert spread of vanilla-infused crème brûlée, a delicately caramelized fine apple tart, an Incredible French Toast with salted caramel and a pavlova with lemon and raspberry compote and Chantilly.

For a man who helped make luxury part of hip-hop’s vocabulary and now measures it in family, ownership and time, it was a celebration that struck the right note: a new album, good company, a cover that tells his story and a glass of Louis XIII to close the night.
