Arid Blayne’s New Slipper Brings Luxury Hotel Comfort Home
Arid Blayne's The Slipper ($98) pairs a memory foam footbed with the brand's cooling, moisture-wicking TENCEL Lyocell fabric.
Arid Blayne, the New York-based cooling sleepwear label founded by Arielle Cole, is stepping beyond pajamas. The brand has launched The Slipper, a plush, breathable house slipper made with the same cooling, moisture-wicking fabric as its best-selling sleepwear, extending a line built for hot sleepers into the rest of the wind-down routine.

The brand began with a problem Cole couldn’t solve. After starting an SSRI, she experienced severe night sweats and went looking for sleepwear that would keep her cool, only to find a category of purely functional products with little style. Drawing on her background in fashion, she spent more than a year on research, development, and testing before Arid Blayne launched in August 2025.
“We started Arid Blayne because I couldn’t find what I needed, and that is still at the heart of everything we make,” said Arielle Cole, founder of Arid Blayne. “The goal has always been to solve a real problem without making people feel like they have to sacrifice style. With The Slipper, we’re bringing that same approach to another part of the sleep and wind-down routine.”
The Slipper takes its cue from the luxury hotel slippers everyone wants to take home. A plush memory foam footbed provides the cushioning, while the brand’s signature fabric, made with TENCEL Lyocell, draws moisture away from the skin to keep feet cool and dry. It is a clever inversion: a slipper engineered to cool, in a category built almost entirely around warmth.

The piece that built the brand is still the patent-pending Lasso Pant, Arid Blayne’s best-selling pajama pant. A soft, weightless elastic loop at the ankle keeps the legs from riding up overnight, solving a small but surprisingly common annoyance, and the cooling fabric is engineered to wick moisture and keep skin dry. It now comes in women’s and men’s styles, with coordinating tops and multiple colorways.
“People don’t necessarily want to look like they’re wearing technical clothing when they go to bed,” said Cole. “They want to feel comfortable, but they also want to feel like themselves. That balance between performance and design has been the focus from day one.”

Cole’s own experience pointed to a far larger audience: people who overheat at night because of hormonal changes, medications, medical conditions or simply warm bedrooms. Early pop-ups in the Hamptons and Williamsburg put the collection in front of its first customers, and their feedback pushed the brand into new colors and lengths, then men’s sleepwear. The Slipper is the next step in that build-out.
“Everyone deserves a good night of sleep,” said Cole. “We want Arid Blayne to be the brand people think of when they need to sleep cooler, whether that means a pair of pajamas, a slipper or whatever comes next.”
