Palm Beach’s Most Romantic Date Night Restaurants, From Café L’Europe to the New Coco’s

From candlelit courtyards to a sunset veranda, these are the most romantic restaurants in Palm Beach for date night this season.

Palm Beach was practically built for romance. The island runs on candlelight, courtyard fountains, and dining rooms where the lighting is as carefully considered as the wine list. Whether it’s a first date that needs to impress or an anniversary that deserves a little ceremony, these are the tables worth reserving this season.

The list moves from the South County Road classics that have hosted the island’s celebrations for decades to its newest arrivals: The Polo Room, which opened on Sunrise Avenue in December; Tutto Mare, on the water since January; and Coco’s, the courtyard restaurant at The Vineta Hotel. In season, book well ahead.

If Palm Beach has a classic special-occasion restaurant, this is it. Now in the hands of the Marcello family, who describe it as a labor of love, the restaurant serves the community 365 days a year. Diners describe a cozy, sophisticated room with live piano and elegant lighting, made for romantic celebrations, and the wine program holds a World of Fine Wine 3-Star Accreditation, earned in the World’s Best Wine Lists 2025. It’s the place to dress up, and in winter, you’ll want to book well ahead.

The Polo Room

For couples who want a little buzz with dinner. Argentine polo star Nacho Figueras and restaurateur Thierry Beaud opened The Polo Room on December 3, 2025, in the former PB Catch space, with equestrian details throughout and a dress code to match. The menu nods to Figueras’s heritage: handmade empanadas, a raw bar, and asado-style steaks and seafood off high-heat grills. Share the Golden Ossetra caviar tartelettes and the lobster frites, and save room for the key lime pie with brûléed Italian meringue.

Florie’s

For a date that doubles as a culinary event, Florie’s is the serious choice. It’s the first U.S. restaurant from three-Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco, where live-fire cooking from an open kitchen meets Mediterranean technique and Florida ingredients. Request a table on the patio, where the ocean views do the rest.

Café Boulud

Tucked inside The Brazilian Court hotel since 2003, Café Boulud is about as close to a sure thing as Palm Beach gets. A refresh unveiled last fall dressed the banquettes and paneling in Hermès Métaphores fabric, laid white-oak herringbone floors and hung Italian hand-blown glass fixtures, while executive chef Christopher Zabita keeps Daniel Boulud’s French-American menu precise. For a quieter evening, ask for the terrace, where towering palms and the courtyard fountains frame the table.

The Manhattan legend, founded by Jean Denoyer in 1972, has had a Palm Beach outpost since 2020, and it brings the classic French repertoire south: the cheese soufflé that has been its signature since the first year, herb-crusted rack of lamb, duck confit, and crêpes Suzette flambéed tableside. Executive chef Gwen Le Pape runs the kitchen. Go on a Wednesday or Sunday, when the 12-ounce prime rib is carved at the table.

Renato’s

A Worth Avenue fixture since 1987, Renato’s sits in Via Mizner, and its courtyard, framed by bougainvillea and white-clothed tables, remains one of the island’s most romantic settings. The menu is Continental with Italian flair and the service is old-school attentive. That real sense of privacy, steps from the island’s busiest shopping strip, makes it the classic choice for an anniversary.

Tutto Mare

Book this one for sunset. Gabby Karan de Felice and Gianpaolo de Felice of the Hamptons’ Tutto il Giorno opened Tutto Mare in January on the Lake Worth Lagoon, and it is the island’s rare table directly on the water. Start with a drink in the restored Celebrity Room, beneath its late-1950s ceiling mural, then move out to the terrace overlooking Palm Harbor Marina. Don’t skip the pane carasau, the paper-thin Sardinian bread that made the trip south from the Hamptons.

Coco’s

The newest glamour address on the island comes with serious pedigree. The Vineta Hotel, formerly The Chesterfield, reopened on March 2, 2026, after a multiyear renovation as the first U.S. hotel from Oetker Hotels, the family-owned group behind Le Bristol Paris, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, and Eden Rock-St Barths. Coco’s, its signature restaurant, draws from the South of France with dishes like Eden Roc sea bass, steak Diane, and delicate crudo. Look up when you sit down: a hidden leopard motif in the ceiling nods to The Chesterfield’s famous Leopard Lounge, once one of the island’s most recognizable nightlife institutions.
