Wu-Tang Clan’s G-STAR Collection Debuted in Atlanta. RZA Wore It In.

The G-STAR x Wu-Tang Clan collection made its world debut Sunday afternoon at Lenox Square. Soon, a line formed outside the G-STAR store. Inside, shoppers went through the denim while members of the group’s touring party tried on pieces. Then RZA arrived. He was wearing one of the jackets too, with “RZA” stitched on the collar.

Atlanta was the first city in the world to shop the collection. In fact, the debut came hours before Wu-Tang Clan’s headlining set at Shaky Knees, which ran September 18–20 in Piedmont Park. As a result, local fans got early access about two months before the global release.

What’s in the G-STAR x Wu-Tang Clan Collection

The G-STAR x Wu-Tang Clan collection is the first release of a multiyear partnership between the Amsterdam-based denim label and the group. Iconic Artists Group, the legacy-artist company founded by Irving Azoff, also partnered on the project. At its center is G-STAR’s denim, with the brand’s signature washes and silhouettes reworked with Wu-Tang detailing. In addition, the drop includes outerwear and knitwear.

According to G-STAR, the Wu-Tang influence goes into the cut and construction of the pieces rather than onto them as branding. The partnership also had an earlier preview. In March, group members wore limited-edition tour jackets onstage in Amsterdam. G-STAR sourced and embroidered those jackets in the Netherlands, but they never went to retail.

“Atlanta feels like the right place to introduce that to the people,” said Rob Schilder, G-STAR’s chief executive officer.

Finally, more drops will follow after the November rollout, including women’s capsules in 2027.

The group rolled into Atlanta on its tour bus, straight from a Saturday show in Birmingham, Alabama. The stop is also part of Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber, the group’s farewell tour.

When Haute Living asked how it felt to see the collection in person, RZA kept it simple.

“It’s super cool. I’m a Zen guy. I am always good,” he said.

Still, his attention was already on the evening. Indeed, RZA said he was looking forward to that night’s Shaky Knees set with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. So was a night out in Atlanta on the schedule? Not quite. Instead, the plan was to perform and then get back on the bus to Orlando, he said.

Why a Wu-Tang Clan Fashion Collection Makes Sense

Wu-Tang Clan has always treated its image as part of the work. The group came out of Staten Island in 1993 with Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), an album since certified triple platinum. RZA’s production shaped that sound, while samples from martial arts films and funk and soul records by Rick James, James Brown and Syl Johnson gave it texture.

Meanwhile, the group’s business structure broke the usual rules. Members signed solo deals while staying inside the collective. Therefore, each could build a career without giving up the Wu-Tang name. Today, the Wu-Tang anthology, including solo albums, runs past 85 full-length releases. Beyond music, the group’s ventures have also included clothing lines, video games, books and acting credits.

Eventually, the W traveled far beyond an album cover. In fact, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame cites that mix of music, business and visual identity in its account of the group’s influence.

G-STAR, for its part, knows this kind of partnership well. Since its founding in 1989, the label has collaborated with Pharrell Williams, Marc Newson and Snoop Dogg.

So the G-STAR Wu-Tang Clan collection puts Wu-Tang’s identity into denim. In a statement announcing the partnership, RZA said G-STAR represents “the rugged, mixed with swag and elegance.” Then, at Lenox Square, he watched shoppers decide what that meant for themselves.

One subject did break the calm, though. Wu-Tang Clan is among the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees. So when Haute Living asked whether he felt Zen about that too, RZA smiled.

“Now that made me a little giddy,” he said. “Yeah, that got me off my Zen.”

The honor also carries a personal connection. RZA once lived in Cleveland, home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame museum, and bought his first home there. Back then, he said, he would drive past the museum, too. This year, however, the ceremony takes place November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The G-STAR x Wu-Tang Clan collection is available now at the G-STAR RAW store at Lenox Square in Atlanta. Shoppers elsewhere will have to wait until early November, when the collection becomes available in other markets.
