Christian Dior first fell under the spell of Venice in 1951, when he attended what he called “the most beautiful evening of my life” — the legendary ball of the century hosted by Charles de Beistegui. The city has held the House ever since: Dior has financed the restoration of the Porta Magna, participated regularly in the Art Biennale, and maintained a relationship with La Serenissima that feels less like patronage and more like devotion. In 2026, that connection finds its most personal expression yet — a Dior Spa at Hotel Cipriani, A Belmond Hotel, Venice, which opened on July 15th as the newest destination in the house’s growing global wellness presence.

The location is as deliberate as the design. Hotel Cipriani has occupied Giudecca Island since 1958, when founder Giuseppe Cipriani conceived it as the city’s most private sanctuary — a place where Sophia Loren, Julia Roberts, and a century’s worth of cultural legends have retreated from the world. As the hotel continues its multi-phase renovation under architect Peter Marino, the Dior Spa arrives as one of its most significant reveals: a two-floor space designed by Marino himself, housing five treatment cabins — including one double — a relaxation lounge, and a boutique carrying Dior’s most prestigious perfume, skincare, and makeup collections alongside the new Dior Haute Wellness collection.

The treatment menu is structured around three exclusive signature experiences, each drawing from the house’s couture vocabulary and Venice’s particular history. The Mascarade face protocol — named for the Venetian mascheri who craft the city’s festive masks — combines expert massage technique with ultrasound waves, microcurrent stimulation, and cryogenic stones to lift, sculpt, and restore radiance. The treatment begins not with the face but with the gut-brain axis, using abdominal massage to rebalance the nervous system before addressing the skin itself — a sequence that reflects the Dior Haute Wellness philosophy in its most literal form.

Grand Bal was designed for the hours before a significant evening. It opens with a Hydrafacial scalp detox and LED hair session, moves through a sculpting facial and bespoke makeup application by a house artist, and closes with hands and feet prepared with exfoliation, moisturizing wraps, and Dior Vernis. The Théâtre Corporel, meanwhile, is a four-handed treatment built around Ayurvedic tradition — warm aromachology oils, guided meditation, deep massage, and fascial work — that can be experienced alone or as a couple, which feels appropriate for a city that celebrates love as fluently as Venice does.

Two holistic experiences round out the offering. The Self Alignment Cruise, developed with nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner Rose Ferguson, unfolds aboard a private boat. The Grounding Slow Movement Therapy, created by Pilates coach Bryony Deery, blends guided breathing with slow, deep Pilates movement — both experiences extending the spa’s reach into the city and the water surrounding it.

The Dior Spa at Hotel Cipriani joins a growing constellation of Dior wellness destinations around the world — including the Dior Spa New York, the Dior Spa Splendido in Portofino, and the Dior Spa at Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris — each one site-specific, each one designed by Peter Marino, and each one an argument that wellness, at its highest expression, is not separate from culture but continuous with it. In Venice, that argument has never been easier to make.
