Haute Living (HL): ( plated )™ Skin Science is described as a “revolutionary” approach to skincare. Can you share the story behind the creation of the brand and its scientific foundation?

Alisa Lask (AL): (plated)™ Skin Science’s story begins in Van Cleve Cardiac Regenerative Medicine program at Mayo Clinic, where physicians were uncovering new ways to harness the body’s own healing processes. From that pioneering research came the discovery of how to isolate and stabilize platelet-derived exosomes — natural messengers that help skin look healthier and more radiant. We licensed that breakthrough and created (plated)™ Skin Science to translate it into beauty. It’s truly where bio meets beauty — decades of medical discovery reimagined for skincare.

HL: What gap in the skincare industry did you see that inspired ( plated )™ Skin Science development?

AL: The science behind (plated)™ was simply too good to stay in the lab.
