The Iconic Fendi Spy Bag Returns in Mini Form
Few bags define the early 2000s quite like Fendi’s Spy. Launched in 2005 under the creative direction of Silvia Venturini Fendi, the oversized satchel—with its braided top handles, secret compartments, and curvy, almost whimsical silhouette—quickly became a cult favorite. It was spotted on the arms of everyone from Paris Hilton to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, cementing its status as one of the decade’s most recognizable It-bags.

As Fendi celebrates its 100th anniversary, the Spy Bag is back in the spotlight—this time introduced in mini form as the Mini Spy Bag. The new silhouette distills the original’s playful codes into a more compact form. The hidden pocket from 2005 has been reimagined into a smooth flap, while the twisted top handles remain, giving it that unmistakable Spy DNA.

Sized to move seamlessly from day to night, the Mini Spy can be carried by hand or worn with its removable strap for shoulder or crossbody wear. It’s crafted in supple leathers and offered in a range of colors from timeless black and honey brown to punchy red and soft pink, with a standout pony-hair calfskin in Fendi’s Leo animalier print for those who prefer something bold.
Rather than a simple shrink-down, the Mini Spy channels the same Y2K energy that once made it a phenomenon—filtered through a 2025 lens. It’s nostalgia, yes, but also proof that some icons only grow sharper with time.
Available October 2, 2025, in Fendi boutiques worldwide and on fendi.com.
