The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection, a world-renowned luxury retreat near Park City, Utah, is thrilled to announce an exclusive winter experience: The Speyside Yurt, a Macallan whisky tasting event. From November 14, 2024, through March 31, 2025, guests can savor premium whisky and immerse themselves in a nature-inspired luxury experience at the resort’s Mountaintop Yurt.

Tucked into the beautiful foothills of the Wasatch Mountain Range, The Speyside Yurt offers an off-the-grid escape that blends the heritage of the American West with the elegance of The Macallan whisky.

This unique tasting experience allows guests to “disconnect while they reconnect” through curated whisky flights, craft cocktails, and gourmet bites—all sourced locally from Gracie’s Farm, the Lodge’s sustainable, onsite Farm.

Among the carefully crafted offerings is the Blue Sky Hot Toddy, a cocktail featuring The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old, lavender, and honey from Gracie’s Farm. Culinary treats also include local Utah bison, paired with chokecherry jus, designed to enhance the flavors of the whiskies.

In addition to the exceptional whisky and food pairings, The Speyside Yurt offers guests a complete sensory experience. Hi-fi audio equipment lets visitors choose albums that set the perfect ambiance for their tasting. Guests can even ask the bartender for a music recommendation that matches their drink or mood. 

The fragrant aromas of burning palo santo and local pine resins further enrich the atmosphere, providing a sense of place grounded in the Mountain West. Throughout the yurt, nods to The Macallan’s Speyside roots are evident in the design and décor, blending Scottish tradition with the rugged beauty of Utah. For those seeking adventure, the tasting experience is seamlessly integrated into other Lodge at Blue Sky signature offerings.

From cocktail-making classes to riverside whisky flights after a fly-fishing session, The Macallan’s presence enhances the resort’s immersive outdoor activities, creating a holistic and luxurious guest experience.

The fire-warmed Speyside Yurt will accommodate up to sixteen guests from 6 pm to 11 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Walk-ins are welcome for guests staying at The Lodge at Blue Sky and Wildkitchen. Residents and outside visitors are encouraged to make reservations online to ensure their spot for this exclusive tasting experience.
