The highly acclaimed Japanese dining destination, Kissaki, has made its much-anticipated debut beyond the borders of New York, landing in Miami Beach’s prestigious South of Fifth neighborhood. To kick off 2024, Kissaki brings with it a fusion of tradition and innovation that promises to elevate the South Florida food scene. With a longstanding reputation for delivering an extraordinary culinary journey, Kissaki will present a modern interpretation of traditional Japanese dining within an inviting and reimagined setting. The Miami Beach establishment will feature an elegantly designed interior, a meticulously curated sake and beverage program, and a menu that seamlessly blends authentic Japanese flavors with imaginative presentation.

Kissaki’s culinary direction and menu are spearheaded by Executive Chef Edgar Valerio, who draws from over a decade of experience at Michelin-starred restaurant, Jewel Bako. Chef Edgar’s unyielding passion is palpable throughout Kissaki’s menu, which showcases an array of delectable options, including the Kampa Crudo, Hokkaido Scallops, Tuna Stuffed Avocado, Spicy King Crab, Wagyu Fried Rice, and Uni Pasta, among others.

Chef Edgar Valerio emphasizes the artful essence of Kissaki’s dining experience, saying, “Kissaki’s dining experience is an artful journey. We’ve carefully curated a menu that marries tradition with innovation, and a dining atmosphere that reflects our dedication to excellence.”

For a more exclusive experience, Kissaki offers an Omakase menu featuring a 15-course option priced at $150 per person or a 10-course omakase experience for $100 per person. Adding a unique twist to the omakase tradition, Kissaki introduces the “Omakase Trolley,” where the culinary team will present a thoughtfully curated selection of dishes directly to diners at their outdoor tables. With its own fishery and wildlife license, Kissaki ensures the freshest ingredients, including Uni and Caviar, are sourced directly from Japan within 24 hours.

Kissaki’s 3000-square-foot establishment effortlessly blends the chic design elements of its five New York locations with a touch of traditional South Florida flair. Designed by Lauren Jayne Design, Kissaki’s interior evokes the ambiance of Japan’s intimate drinking dens. The setting features minimalistic natural elements, earthy tones, warm ambient lighting, and lush foliage throughout, creating an inviting atmosphere. The sleek and intimate bar area sets the stage for savoring Kissaki’s array of beverage offerings, including cocktails, sakes, Japanese whiskies, wines, and beers. Unique craft cocktails such as the Kosho Margarita, Smoky Paloma, Nihon 75, and Truffle Old Fashioned are bound to delight patrons.
