If Evan Williams is looking for something to tweet about these days, perhaps he could use his micro-blogging website to find a buyer for his San Francisco penthouse. Even though construction on his new home is not expected to be completed until 2010, Williams, who founded the social networking site Twitter with partner Biz Stone, is getting a jump-start on his upcoming move. The melodic papa bird currently lives in a two-bedroom, two-bath luxury loft apartment in SoMa’s Heublein Building. In its former life, the historic building served as a wine warehouse. A conversion in the early 1990s transformed it into one of the city’s first residential loft developments. Many of the units in Heublein include design features such as factory windows and exposed concrete pillars. Williams’ particular penthouse measures in at 1,792 square feet and showcases 11-foot ceilings. Williams and his wife are asking $1,498,000 for their San Francisco loft.
Twitter cofounder Stone sold his Berkeley home earlier in 2009 for $575,000 after a relatively short time on the market.
