Vibrant Details Revitalize This California Loft

Over the last decade, Downtown Los Angeles’s Historic Core has bloomed with the restoration of numerous early 20th century buildings long forgotten. An influx of creatives reflecting the new energy of the city have moved in, and the owner of this vibrant loft is no exception.

Boasting a completely open floor plan with original brick and concrete circa 1912, my vision was to create separate areas seamlessly blending within the larger space without interrupting the movement and flow.

Using the original architectural elements as my guide, I highlighted the use of natural materials to create a sense of “bringing the outdoors in” to this city loft. I elected to keep the palette neutral and natural, allowing space for the myriad of textures to speak for themselves.
