Haute Living Honors David Grutman At Swan With Absolut Elyx: Welcome To Miami Dinner

Haute Living honored serial entrepreneur David Grutman at his newest Miami Design District eatery—Swan—with a ‘Welcome to Miami’ kickoff to Miami Music Week dinner. Grutman was featured on Haute Living Miami’s March issue with partner Pharrell Williams, who joined Grutman in opening the brand new hot spot.

In his exclusive cover story, Grutman explained how he and Pharrell developed this partnership and came up with the idea of opening the restaurant. “Pharrell is my guy. And he’s been a huge believer of the Miami Design District for many years from when he used to live here. So the minute this opportunity came up, he was the first person I called . . . This corner just spoke to me over and over again. I could just imagine the garden and the restaurant coming together to create the ultimate experience.”

The beautiful masterpiece that is now Swan + upstairs lounge Bar Bevy set the stage for the perfect Miami evening with great weather, a stunning atmosphere, delicious food and drinks and an intimate crowd of guests including Grutman’s closest friends in town for the star-studded week.

Guests kicked off the night by sipping on creative signature libations, including the ‘Framboise’—made with Avión Silver Tequila, sauternes wine, raspberries, orange marmalade and lemon; as well as the ‘Swan Mule,’ featuring Absolut Elyx vodka, passion fruit, coconut, ginger beer and lemon.

And the exquisite French/Mediterranean cuisine paired perfectly with the drinks. Attendees enjoyed Swan’s most beloved dishes including the Yellowfin Tuna, Swan Caesar Salad and Mushroom Pizza to start; followed by Short Rib Agnolotti, Dover Dole and Dry Aged NY Strip for entrees; sides including cheesy Asparagus and the signature Corn Corn Corn; and a selection of mouth-watering desserts like the Peanunt Butter Tart, Pavlova and the Chocolate Mousse.

At the end of the evening, Haute Living CEO Kamal Hotchandani and renowned artist Bradley Theodore presented Grutman with a custom painting of Tom Ford—fitting as the iconic boutique rests across the street from the neighborhood eatery—in commemoration of his cover launch and success in revolutionizing Miami’s culinary and nightlife industries.

Guests clinked cocktail glasses and Perus wine before departing the night to continue celebrating the excitement of Miami Music Week at Grutman’s storied nightclub, LIV Miami, where world-renowned DJ Tiësto was headlining the night.
