Just in time for Bastille Day, Malibu’s haute Soho House location, Little Beach House, was transformed into a whimsical Parisian oasis with the help of power stylist Kate Young and her A-list squad at the second annual Maison St. Germain.

After debuting in new York this June, Young’s L.A. iteration of her first-ever immersive installation incorporated wild juxtapositions of flavors, styles and sensorial experiences, leading guests on a romantic-yet-whimsical journey throughout the beachfront destination.

Drawing inspiration from traditional la fête nationale celebrations, which take place on July 14, the stylish crowd—including Young’s pals Dakota Johnson, Nina Dobrev, January Jones, Ashley Madekwe, Catt Sadler, Hart Denton and Eric Balfour—was invited to enjoy a rare fleeting moment of exuberance in celebration of the thousands of elderflowers harvested once a year to create St. Germain.

Each space of the 10,000 square foot property served as a new discovery for guests to explore, layered with botanical arrangements from Jeff Leatham, performances by recognized musician Jess Williamson, a stimulating rooftop jardin designed by Nine & Eye, along with a secluded section for crystal readings from stylist-turned-Shaman Colleen McCann.

The sparkly crowd mingled throughout the beachfront oasis, taking selfies in front of the rooftop mirrored arrangements reflecting the avant-garde landscape, while sipping on specialty cocktail pairings by St. Germain Global Ambassador Camille Ralph Vidal.
Young, dressed in Gucci, and Dobrev (in Altuzarra) along with J ones in Shoshanna, danced the night away to beats by music producer Noah Passovoy, while tantalizing hors d’oeuvres were served throughout. Following the event, all florals will be donated to the Sportsmen’s Lodge to spread the Bastille Day joy.
