Real Estate Developer Aby Rosen Hosts Art Soiree, Showcases 100 East 53rd Street
Acclaimed real estate developer and avid art collector, Aby Rosen melded his two passions with a celebrity-studded unveiling of a specially commissioned artwork for his latest modernist tower, 100 East 53rd Street.
The piece, titled Panorama of New York and gracing the building’s lobby, reveals the creative aesthetic of celebrated artist, Rachel Feinstein. Blending key New York City landmarks, the canvas exhibits a somewhat gloomy yet undeniably imposing character, awash in gray and sepia tones.
“The work is a fantastical dreamscape of the city, and a beautiful gift to our future residents,” 100 East 53rd Street Instagram page reads.
The event gathered together a raft of stars, including Salman Rushdie, Colby and Alberto Mugrabi, Wendi Murdoch, Amy Astley, Cynthia Rowley and Jean Pigozzi. The attendees also had the chance to tour 100 East 53rd Street, whose design by Foster + Partners reflects the grandeur of last century’s most coveted architectural feats.
Neighbor of the historic Seagram Building, 100 East 53rd Street boasts a striking curtain wall that shelters 63 stories and ends in a zig-zag edge. Inside, over 90 residences, including 15 sprawling lots on the first file floors, embody the spirit of New York with spacious layouts optimized for the display of art.
Aside from marveling at contemporary art, residents at the Midtown condo tower will also enjoy a slate of amenities and culinary offerings that evoke a relaxing resort in the midst of the Big Apple. 100 East 53rd Street features a steam room, sauna and spa, a library lounge, a swimming pool as well as a gourmet marketplace and a restaurant by French Chef Joel Robuchon, whose 32 Michelin stars lead the world’s record.
