New Food And Restaurant Bites Hitting Atlanta September 2017
From new restaurants, new menus to off-the-wall concepts and more. Here is a look at some of the food and drink news bits that have caught our eye this month.
It’s All About the Battery (At the Braves Suntrust Stadium, that is)

Two new restaurant concepts have opened up shop this month and we are starting to get overwhelmed by all the choices. Looks like this season is going to be a busy one not only for the games but for the whole experience and especially the food. First, chef Linton and Gina Hopkins newest concept C. Ellet’s is officially open to the public. C. Ellet’s delivers an inspired, contemporary dining experience by focusing on American steaks, seafood and oysters, along with vegetable dishes showcasing the area’s freshest seasonal ingredients, all within a warm, modern aesthetic.
And, considering it is owned by a James Beard award winning chef, restaurateur and team of pros, people have been waiting for a while for the unveiling of this modern American steakhouse. The other we are excited about is El Super Pan, which is scheduled for Spring 2018 opening. But, spring will be here before we know it and we can’t wait to get our hands on that cuban bliss.El Super Pan, a concept of Atlanta’s own Hector Santiago will be the second location of his Latino sandwich restaurant and bar.
Batter Cookie Dough Counter To Open At Ponce City Market
Yes, you read that correctly. Slated for a fall opening in the illustrious Food Hall at Ponce City Market, people will be able to experience (and indulge in) Atlanta’s first edible cookie dough dessert shop. Batter will offer traditional and seasonal cookie dough flavors including sugar, chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, lemon, salted caramel, s’mores, and more.
Crafted from natural ingredients with no preservatives, Batter’s cookie dough is eggless and made with heat-treated flour that is safe to consume uncooked. Located on the first floor of Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall, across from Honeysuckle Gelato, the walk-up shop will be decorated with vintage cookie jars and feature around ten flavors for spooning. Pints of Batter’s edible cookie dough will also be available to enjoy at home. For those who opt for a scoop in-store, Batter will offer toppings for uniquely customizable treats. In addition, Batter will also serve an assortment of freshly baked cookies and beverages including cold brew coffee, milk, and chocolate milk.
